Executive Coach & Board Advisor | ICF PCC | Chartered Manager | Helping senior leaders think clearly, lead with confidence and turn complex challenges into decisive action.
Leadership can be rewarding, but the further you progress, the fewer places there are to think openly. The decisions become more complex. Expectations increase. You may be leading people through uncertainty, dealing with difficult relationships, questioning your own direction, trying to influence at a more senior level, or carrying responsibility that others around you do not fully see. That is where I work best. I am an ICF Professional Certified Coach (PCC), Executive Coach, Chartered Manager, Fellow of the Institute of Leadership, Non-Executive Director and Board Advisor. I work with senior leaders, directors, executives, business owners and professionals who want the space, challenge and perspective to think more clearly and lead more effectively. My approach is not about giving you a leadership formula or telling you how somebody in your position is supposed to behave. It is about understanding what is really happening, challenging the assumptions that may be getting in your way and helping you make better decisions about what happens next. Clients typically work with me around areas such as: • stepping into a bigger or more senior leadership role • improving confidence, executive presence and influence • making difficult or high-stakes decisions • navigating organisational politics and complex stakeholder relationships • developing a clearer leadership style • dealing with conflict or challenging conversations • improving strategic thinking and execution • leading teams through change and uncertainty • understanding strengths, blind spots and leadership behaviours • managing pressure, competing priorities and the demands of senior responsibility • preparing for career transitions or the next stage of leadership • growing a business or strengthening the leadership around it What I bring is a combination of coaching expertise and substantial real-world business experience. My career spans more than three decades across business, technology, leadership and talent development, including senior leadership responsibility before moving fully into coaching and leadership development. I understand organisational life from the inside: competing priorities, commercial pressures, difficult decisions, imperfect information and the reality that the textbook answer is rarely quite enough. I have now accumulated more than 1,500 hours of coaching experience and have coached and developed leaders and professionals across the UK and internationally. My clients have included senior leaders, directors and executives working across sectors including professional services, law, energy, financial services, technology and other complex organisations. Where it adds value, I also use respected assessment and development tools including CliftonStrengths, the Energy Leadership Index (ELI) and Belbin Team Roles. These can provide a deeper understanding of how you naturally think and operate, where your strengths are helping you, where they may be creating blind spots, and how your behaviour affects the people around you. But the assessment is never the coaching. The real value comes from what we do with that insight. You can expect me to listen carefully, ask questions that get beneath the surface and challenge you when challenge is needed. I will not simply agree with you, and I will not manufacture complexity where none exists. Sometimes the most useful outcome of a coaching conversation is a new perspective. Sometimes it is a difficult realisation. Sometimes it is finally making the decision you have been circling for weeks. Alongside my coaching practice, I work as a Non-Executive Director and Board Advisor and host the leadership podcast Beyond Leading, where I explore the decisions, pressures and situations that rarely fit neatly into a leadership framework. My professional credentials include ICF PCC, Chartered Manager (CMI), Fellow of the Institute of Leadership, Gallup Certified Strengths Coach, Belbin Team Roles accreditation, Energy Leadership Index Master Practitioner and an MBA. If you are looking for a coach who will give you confidential space to think, understand the realities of senior organisational life and challenge you to move from reflection to action, we should have a useful conversation.
A confidential 30-minute conversation to explore what is happening for you, what you would like to change or achieve, and whether working together would be the right fit. We might discuss a current leadership challenge, a career or role transition, confidence or executive presence, difficult relationships or organisational dynamics, strategic decision-making, or simply something you have been carrying that would benefit from an independent perspective. This is not a sales call. It is an opportunity for us both to understand what you need, for you to get a sense of how I work, and to decide whether coaching together would be valuable. There is no obligation to continue beyond the conversation.
